Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Post Date: May 22, 2023

The advancement in technology is finally making people worry.

What should you look out for?

It’s no surprise! Believe it! Scammers are going to have it easier to prey on people because they will be able to replicate (clone) almost anyone’s voice. The next time you get a frantic phone call from a loved one asking for money, you may want to check twice before helping. Artificial Intelligence has literally opened a ton of new doors for scammers.

We all know that elderly people are the easiest targets for scammers. If scammers fool you, there is often no chance of getting your money back.

To protect yourself when you receive a frantic call from someone asking for money:

1. First, if things seems to be going fast, slow it down quickly

2. Be sure you are not pressured into doing anything

3. Take heed to anything that feels like a red flag

Society is too dependent on technology; you can't discount what an important part technology has played in society as a whole. Technology has made life easier, safer, longer, and more enjoyable in numerous ways. However though, experts worry that the era of unregulated AI systems may create misinformation, cyber-security threats, job loss, and political bias.

Key figures in Artificial Intelligence (AI) want training of powerful AI systems to be suspended amid fears of a threat to humanity. They have signed an open letter warning of potential risks, and say the race to develop AI systems is out of control.
