Post Date: May 21, 2023

Federal prosecutors in Louisiana say a former hospice service owner has been convicted on conspiracy and fraud charges in a $1.5 million Medicare scheme that involved patients who were not terminally ill. The patients were totally unaware that they had been signed up for end-of-life hospice care.

The owner of Angel Care Hospice (“Angel Care”), Kristal Glover-Wing who is 50 years old, faces up to 20 years in prison on a single conspiracy to commit health care fraud charge, as well as up to 10 years in prison for each of three health care fraud charges. As of now, a sentencing hearing has been scheduled for July 26, 2023.
